TITLE: Tension Overload / PUBLISHED: 180 Magazine F2 April Edition 2010 / © Helen Roscoe

The body is where the collection starts... mechanics of femininity
contrast with mechanics of  clothing and their bodily relationships.
Conflict occurs between body and cloth, contrast of textures...
softness and femininity cry out from  hard metals, structural
shapes and splashes of colour.  Tensions lie within expression and
form, moving closer together...  they can see beyond their superficial
mammal substances toward a calmer place where emotions  and
desire become available should they choose.

Fabrics used:  Leatherette, quilted and PVC combined with contrasted
fabrics and textures such as feathers and   bronze metallics.  Oversized
detachable hoods, pockets and bags as accessories can be seen hidden
within the  garments whilst nuts, washers, zips and press-studs are
used as embellishments. The garments fuse together mechanical
structuring with soft feminine textures.
