‘You are not alone… Feel that you are supported and guided by wonderful and everlasting friends: your breath, the very earth and space around you.’
Expect to combine traditional Hatha based, breath-powered practices with new and experiential ideas around movement and stillness, along with an opportunity for you to restore your body and mind, reviving your sense of play.
As with any movement based practice your should approach yoga with a dose of self-care and enquiry, acknowledge your own capabilities within a range of movement that feels beneficial for you.
I teach small, inclusive classes weekly designed to accommodate complete beginners to experienced practitioners.
Whether you are new to yoga or are a seasoned practitioner I would ask that you complete a health form prior to your first class and if there is anything you wish to discus in confidence with myself please do contact me in advance. (Download a pdf health form).
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in. Whilst mats and blocks are provided, please ensure you have everything you may need such as a blanket and water.
Upon arrival I kindly ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before the class is due to start and leave your shoes outside of the practice spaces. Please consider others when you arrive.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you soon.
I started to practice yoga with Helen when I first moved to the village of Broadbottom in 2016 and have been going to her classes since. I had tried yoga before and found this is the right style for me with emphasis on breathing and movement. The philosophy behind the yoga practice also speaks to me focusing on the moment and stay positive. Helen is a lovely teacher and always ready for a chat about yoga or life in general.
