What you will need to bring

Please remember to bring your own mat! You may also find it useful to have other props available such as a cushion and blanket, bolster or block. If you don’t have a yoga mat please contact me in advance and I will provide a clean one for your use.

Hawke Green 1.30-2.30pm – Space to Pause

Group classes – Thursdays afternoon (8 spaces)

Starting 22nd July. Small group classes designed to offer space and time to press pause in your weekly schedule. In these 1 hour sessions Helen will guide you through a considered series of postures and pauses inspired by nature, creativity and the rich philosophy of yoga.

Practices are designed to help build strength and increase mobility in a mindful way with the support and nurture of the breath. Breath-work forms the foundation for this approach and enables us to feel more centred, self-aware and focused whilst inviting us to relax and let go of unnecessary tension. This class often begins seated in a chair and moves into standing postures before gradually taking a mindful route of kneeling and lying sequences and ending with short relaxation and meditation techniques.

Integral to the breath

Expect all classes to be supported by and integral to the breath and to take the form of a moving meditation. All sessions are taken slowly and mindfully. We begin by settling and tuning into ourselves, relaxing the body and mind and noticing our starting point, so that as we move through the session we have a greater awareness of the positive changes that arise as a result of our practice. Allow these sessions to help with releasing deeply held bodily tensions.

Seasonal themes

Each session will include seasonal themes introducing insights towards our inherent connection with nature, creativity and the seasons. We will explore this through visualisation and imagination as we step into standing postures, kneeling work, lying and some seated meditative practices too.

Refund Policy

Please understand that we are unable to offer refunds for online classes, and all purchases are final. Should Helen Roscoe Yoga have to cancel an online class for unforeseen circumstances you will receive a credit for your next class.
