Explore yoga and self-care on an experiential level with Helen Roscoe.
During our time together we will explore a theme and you will be invited to combine creative movement and sequencing, consider imagination and play, and draw upon the wonderful potential of breath-work, sound and stillness. With a background in the arts I also look forward to opening a dialogue around creativity as a means towards enhancing our experience of yoga.

Casa Paço D’Ilhas is located on an elusive hilltop overlooking the world renowned surf breaks of the Ericeira world surfing reserve on one side and the lush countryside of Santo Isodoro Municipality on the other side. Set in the quiet outskirts of Ericeira village, surrounded by nature with the sound of breaking waves in the distance.
Ericeira village itself, just a short drive away, is a traditional Portuguese fishing village that has been catering for tourism for over eight centuries, whilst still always managing to maintain it`s original character, symbolised by it`s labyrinth of windswept alleys that whisper tales of seafaring adventures.
Our proximity to Lisboa, Portugal’s enchanting capital, the Unesco heritage town Sintra, the lush nature of the Sintra-Cascais natural park, the world class kite- and windsurfing spot Guincho and a wide variety of other cultural, sporty and nature activities and sights on offer make Casa Paço D’Ilhas` location the perfect home base from where to explore this exceptional region!
There are different types of rooms to cater for each guests personal tastes and expectations. Flights – There are regular, affordable flights from Manchester and Liverpool to Lisbon.
Transfers – We will try to pair you up with other travellers in order to keep the transfer costs down. There are also buses from the airport and if you like you may wish to rent a car.
Hiring a car for your stay is a convenient way to move around and stay flexible throughout your trip. Luckily this luxury doesn’t have to cost you a fortune as Portugal is known for its budget deals on rental cars. If a few of you are traveling together this could be a good option for you.
No driving license or you’d prefer not to drive yourself? Private transfers can be arranged for you. (Lisbon Airport-Ericeira: €50/single) We will try to team people together where possible in order to keep the transfer costs low.
All the Portuguese roads are well connected by bus and this is a good option for budget-minded backpackers.
Any alcohol or additional soft drinks will need to be purchased separately via an honesty bar tab.
Our hosts can help organise guided tours, surf lessons, or hikes should you wish to venture that little bit further:
I recently attended a yoga workshop with Helen. She is so calm, open and knowledgable. A true Yogi. I would highly recommend a class or workshop for anyone interested in finding out more about the amazing benefits of yoga.
